Ziya is the co-founder of Glow and the guiding force behind Glow Hair Boutiques in Papua New Guinea. With a background in professional makeup artistry and a deep knowledge of hair and beauty, she brings a thoughtful creative eye to every part of the Glow experience.
From operations and branding to team development and client care, Ziya helps shape the standard and vision behind Glow while continuing to champion local designers, artists, and creative talent throughout Papua New Guinea.

Emi has over 20 years of experience in the hair industry, beginning her career in Japan where she trained professionally in advanced hairstyling. Known for her precision and craftsmanship, she specializes in perm services - from sleek straightening to soft waves and defined curls , as well as seamless Airtouch balayage.
She’s especially skilled with short hair, creating modern, tailored cuts that enhance each client’s natural features. Emi blends technical expertise with an artistic eye to deliver effortless, personalized results.

Makeup Artist & Hair Apprentice

Anu is a Hair Apprentice at Glow Makeup + Hair, with a passion for beauty that began long before her career did. What started as experimenting with her own hair and makeup quickly caught the attention of friends and family, who recognized her natural talent early on. Their encouragement inspired her to take her first masterclass - a moment that sparked a seven-year journey in freelance makeup and hairstyling.
Eager to grow and refine her skills, Anu went on to earn her diploma in hairstyling, deepening both her technique and creative vision. Now, as part of the Glow team, she’s dedicated to learning, elevating her craft, and bringing thoughtful, personalized beauty to every client she meets.
Tahira Rayani - Co Founder + Director of Hair and Makeup
Tahira is the visionary behind Glow Makeup + Hair, known for blending high-end artistry with genuine warmth and inclusivity. With roots in Papua New Guinea and a career shaped in Toronto’s prestigious Yorkville salon scene, she brings a worldly perspective and refined craftsmanship to every guest experience.
Her work celebrates individuality through healthy, modern hair techniques and timeless makeup artistry - creating looks that are effortlessly elevated and uniquely personal. Every appointment begins with a thoughtful consultation and ends with a customized care plan, ensuring clients leave not only looking radiant but understanding how to maintain their hair’s health and beauty beyond the chair.
As a leader and mentor, Tahira has built a salon culture grounded in education, empowerment, and inclusivity. She continues to champion a space where every person - regardless of texture, race, or gender - feels seen, valued, and beautifully served.

With over 26 years behind the chair, Char specializes in textured hair, keratin smoothing treatments, and relaxers, combining technical expertise with a strong focus on hair health.
For 12 years, she was an educator and member of the creative artistic team for Farouk Systems, training professionals and sharing advanced techniques. Her experience also extends to film and photoshoots, where she brings precision, creativity, and versatility to every look.
For Char, great hair is about more than the finished look — it’s about helping every client leave feeling confident and their best.

With over 8 years of experience in the industry across Japan and Australia, I have developed my skills working with a wide range of hair textures and styles.
Specializing in textured hair, I work with everything from naturally straight hair to curly and coily textures. I create custom curl patterns through advanced perm techniques, transforming straight hair into natural looking curls and coily textures, while also enhancing the beauty of naturally curly and oily hair.
I also specialize in creative colour, dreadlocks, braids and cornrows, creating personalized styles that reflect each client’s individuality, lifestyle end confidence.
Diane Thai
Assistant Manager
Diane brings a strong background in luxury retail and client experience to her role as Salon Manager at Glow Makeup + Hair. Having worked with renowned brands including Coach, Club Monaco, and Louis Vuitton, she developed an appreciation for exceptional service, attention to detail, and creating memorable client experiences.
At Glow, Diane oversees daily salon operations while supporting both the team and guests. Known for her warmth, organization, and calm approach, she helps ensure every visit feels seamless, welcoming, and thoughtfully cared for.
